Story:
'A.B.C. Warriors': during the Volgan war, war droids have replaced human on the field, and the officers can experienced the battle via radio signal and holographic images. The officers are protected from feeling the robot's pain thanks to a special 'pain-barrier'. But when Hammerstein disabled on pupose this device on an agonizing robot, his human officers takes a full pain blast, and dies. The 'accident' has been witnessed by a mysterious man (6 pages).Comments:
This new series is advertised as "A New Ro-busters Adventure..." but the event described are told as flashback stories. A.B.C. stand for Atomic Bacterial Chemical, type of weapons the warriors are immune to. First appearance of Joe Pineapples and Harry Shrapnel. Hammerstein is referred as 'Old Red Eyes'. A prologue to that firts story was commissioned for the first Titan Book reprint. One of the best pun of the series when Happy Shrapnel says "Hold it, Sarge! I smell something!" and a war droid replies "It's your boots, Happy! We told you to take the feet out before you put them on!".Joe Pineapples language code: 'N5', 'JR9'
