Story:
'The Order of Knights Martial': smashed from its orbit by a flaming Volgan meteorite, the Watch-Tower, a huge fortress satellite used by the Order of Knights Martial to watch over earth, falls from the sky and has to make an emergency landing. Deadlock, Grand Wizard of the order have foreseen the event in his tarot cards. The knights martial are the ultimate ABC Warriors, built with a strong body but also a powerful mind in order to be able to master the ancient martial arts. They were also given authority to try and execute war criminals. Our four ABC Warriors arrived just in time to help the knight martial against General Karnage Volgan's troops. The latter is tried and execute. Now Hammerstein will have to fight Deadlock in a martial art tournament in order to enroll him (6 pages).Comments:
First apparition of Deadlock. The story of Deadlock and the Order of the Knights Martial has been re-told in the recent Volgan War arc. There is a strong feeling of Nemesis world in this strip (one of the knight martial looks like Torquemada's Executioners, the hanging man, Deadlock behaving and talking like Torquemada), and later in Nemesis story we will discover a strong connection between the arch deviant and Deadlock.Joe Pineapples language code: 'N and V' (Null and Void).
