Story:
As Howard Quartz presents his Ro-busters business to General Denver and his staff from the u.s. Pentagon, an experimental red gaz dumped over the shores of Florida by the u.s. army in the 20th century has started leaking in the air. This red mist has the power to send people and animals instantly insane and on a killing frenzy (6 pages).Comments:
First references to Hammerstein war memoirs and visual of his old head.The original purpose of that three part story is probably to emphasize the 'Thunderbirds' style of the series with its detailed presentation of the Preying Mantis, the Ro-busters multi purpose aircraft. But soon one's could clearly see where Pat Mills wanted to go (see also his foreword for the 2008 reprint), developing the comedy potential of his main duo, Ro-Jaws and Hammerstein.
