Story:
Quartz has decided to get rid of his Ro-Busters squad team by blowing up the Praying Mantis. Luckily Ro-Jaws was warned by Quartz secretary Marilyn and they all escape in the pod. Soon after, Hammerstein and Ro-Jaws make contact with an unauthorized traffic robot calling himself Gottlieb. But Sir James is aware of their whereabouts, and monitors their every move. Right now, the three robots are meeting again at Greasy Gracies, a garage bar for robots. Sir James is also suspicious that quartz is perhaps not human enough (6 pages).Comments:
From this strip, Pat Mills proposes an alternative version of the events described in The Fall and Rise of Ro-Jaws and Hammerstein from 2000 AD #103-110. Here for instance, Marilyn warning to Ro-Jaws is originally told in 2000 AD #104. X-27? story about planet Saturn Six, the robots gold promise land, is for the time being omit from the narrative. Gottlieb is the brand of famous flippers and arcade games.
