Black Siddha
Story:
Bad Karma: Rohan Bhandara has just been kicked out of his widowed mother's house after rejecting another girl his mother has introduced to him. In fact he is already into a relationship with the housekeeping girl Mirabai, and is currently focusing about learning Indian culture behavior with Govinda. Later, he crashed at his friend place Rak Shasa, which is a Vamacari, a black magician. That night he dreams himself as an ancient master of Kalari Payattu (the mother of all martial arts), a deva knight, holder of the Serpent sword and armoured skin siddhi (which is a kind of a word for super powers), the Black Siddha. In the morning, an unkown woman stands beside him while he drinks his coffee, and she refers to him as Black Siddha (11 pages).Comments:
This first strip is introduced by a contextual introduction about the Indian mythological references used in this series. Simon Davis uses a lot of Indian's culture real imagery in his own illustrations. Rohan's brother is introduced as Rahul, and Rak girlfriend, or "Tantrika" is named Rita. There was this add running in 2000 AD #1324:
