Invasion! and Savage (French Market)

The character of Bill Savage has originally been create in the strip Invasion!, and was therefore present in the very first issue of 2000 AD in 1977. Details of the strip and its context can be found in the page dedicated to the series in the UK market.

Some Invasion! strips has been translated as backup stories in newsstand pocket comics by Mon Journal.

The firts dedicated translation to the world of Invasion!/Savage has seen the light of day in June 2015 in the form of a hardcover reprint of 2007 Rebellion Savage Taking Liberties. We can reasonably thank here the success of The walking Dead in France to understand why delcourt has chosen to published this first volume, the only one drawn by Charlie Adlard. Indeed, there is no mention anywhere in this edition as to this volume being the first of an ongoing series.
